Our history
The origin
The roots of EOLIOS go back to the end of the 2000s. By this time, fluid mechanics had already proved its industrial maturity in other sectors (aeronautics, automotive) and was also beginning to make inroads into the construction industry.
Thibaut DEGORREwas one of the first engineers to follow this trend, studying natural ventilation for shopping centers in a wind tunnel.
Establishing these new services in a more conservative market proved to be an initially arduous, but ultimately unstoppable process.
Today, the importance of fluid simulation is widely accepted as an indispensable tool for demanding construction projects. This is provided that the studies are carried out using a rigorous methodology and by confirmed experts.
The department’s development has been underpinned by the success of projects such as the design of a heating system for the 2014 Davis Cup at Stade Pierre Mauroy, the validation of broadcasting systems for the Bordeaux Métropole Arena, the protection of works of art at the Louvre and, more recently, the dimensioning of ventilation systems for the future Olympic swimming pool in Saint Denis.
“The simulation references have expanded over the years to include other simulation and consulting services, with building thermal simulation being an equally important pillar.
The founding of EOLIOS was therefore a logical step to enable the use of modern simulation tools in architecture and building technology on a new basis for the benefit of all.”

Nowadays
Today, our engineers provide modern simulation methods for the fields of architecture, HVAC and energy.
Our most important tools are numerical flow simulation (CFD) and thermal simulation of buildings and systems. We are also developing a real know-how in industrial simulation, laboratories, diffusion of pollutants and fire studies.
The focus is on simulation-based consulting, concept development and optimization. Our goal is to help our clients better meet the demands of contemporary construction.
