Thermal comfort study – trichloramine diffusion in a children’s pool

In this video, we present a study carried out by EOLIOS ingénierie on thermal comfort in a children’s swimming pool. Our team of experts in fluid mechanics and CFD simulation used advanced modeling techniques to analyze the diffusion of trichloramine in the pool air. Trichloramine, a by-product of water disinfection, can cause health problems such as eye and respiratory tract irritation. It is therefore essential to understand how it spreads through the air, to ensure a healthy environment for children using the pool. Thanks to precise computer simulations, we were able to visualize the diffusion of trichloramine in the pool area, taking into account various parameters such as ventilation, water temperature and children’s activity. This study enabled us to identify the areas at risk where trichloramine concentration is highest, helping us to propose solutions for improving air quality in the pool. For example, we suggested adjustments to the ventilation and water disinfection systems to reduce the spread of trichloramine. Thanks to our skills in fluid mechanics and CFD simulation, we can help children’s pool owners guarantee optimum thermal comfort and create a healthy environment for their customers.
